Presenting CQUARTZ SiC Ceramic Coating

Celebrating 10 years of CQUARTZ , CARPRO has created a new ceramic coating for automotive paints, called SiC . This new ceramic will replace the beloved Classic, or TiO2, as it was also known.

This new CQUARTZ coating gets its name from a new ingredient: Silicon Carbide (SiC). This ingredient helps with chemical resistance. In addition to improving chemical resistance, the way the paint is applied has also been improved. It's the easiest CQUARTZ to apply.

The big question is how it compares to other coatings like Lite and CQUK 3.0

• Durability: SiC offers the same paint protection duration as Classic, which is approximately 18 months. UK 3.0 will last approximately 24 months.
• Appearance : UK creates greater depth and a darkening effect. I love it on dark colors. In the case of SiC , it increases the shine, creating a mirror effect. Ideal for light colors. This doesn't mean you would only use SiC on light and UK on dark colors; both can be applied to any color. They both add an incredible ceramic shine. Lite balances both shine and depth, thanks to its ingredients from CQUK and Classic.
• Hydrophobic effect : in this department the UK would be the winner.
• Touch : That smooth effect we all love when we touch paint, the best is SiC . It leaves a smooth finish, I'd say better than Classic .
• Chemical resistance : SiC has greater chemical resistance compared to Classic. UK has always had excellent chemical resistance.
• App : Comparing Lite, SiC, and UK ...the winner for easiest app is SiC . For many, this will be an advantage. UK and Lite's apps are very similar.

CQUARTZ SiC improves on the characteristics that many liked about Classic. It adds more shine, smoothness, chemical resistance, and is also easier to apply. Just as Classic can be applied over CQUK 3.0, the same can be done with SiC .
