Ideally, Essence Plus should be used on a ceramic coating later in its lifecycle or to address micro-marring issues. It is not recommended for deep scratches or severe swirls. For those cases, a compound ( UltraCut ) or a paint polish and a more aggressive cutting pad are better suited. However, for this, you will need to recoat the area, as abrasive polishing will remove the ceramic coating.

Essence Plus on UNCOATED vehicles

We haven't emphasized this enough in the past, but Plus can also be applied by hand to uncoated vehicles. This is especially relevant for people who don't want to venture into ceramic coatings but still seek long-lasting protection. In these cases, you'll use it as a sealant.

By applying Plus to an uncoated vehicle with no other protection, you can achieve up to 12 months of protection (in Puerto Rico, we've seen up to 6 months of protection). It's a simple application process, whether done by hand or machine.

When using Plus with a machine, it's essential to find the right speed setting. Generally, a speed of three or four is recommended, but it may be necessary to reduce it even further for ceramic coatings. It's advisable to avoid using a rotary machine on ceramic coatings and apply gentle pressure.

• Machine Application : Use an orbital or forced-rotation polisher with a soft pad or a CARPRO Gloss Pad on uncoated vehicles. Apply a small amount of Plus and distribute evenly using overlapping circular motions.
• Manual application : If applying by hand, use small dots or a minimal amount of Plus . Spread evenly using circular motions.
• Waiting Time: Let Plus sit on the surface for 30 minutes to an hour before continuing. This time may vary depending on the temperature and humidity in the work area.
• Cleaning : To remove Plus , use a microfiber towel with minimal pressure and gently wipe. If it's a little thicker in certain areas, a circular motion should break it up and remove it. Remember to change your towels regularly for a clean cleaning surface.
