Quick Detailers, or as they are known in Puerto Rico, liquid waxes, are very versatile products. They can be used for dust removal, minimizing stains when drying paint, increasing shine, and maintaining paintwork, among other things. Many people like to use this type of product when drying paint. It helps the drying towel and minimizes the risk of marking the paint. It also helps remove some water spots that occur after washing.
The CARPRO brand offers several quick detailers to meet the diverse needs and tastes of enthusiasts and professionals. These include the following products:
CARPRO ECH2O
An extremely versatile product, it was primarily designed for the famous Waterless Wash. It was designed to perform a "Waterless Wash" on paints with ceramic coatings. Echo is fully compatible with CQUARTZ and DQUARTZ coatings.
Since its primary purpose is cleaning, it means it has greater cleaning power compared to EliXir and Release.
The other important thing about EchO2 is that it's a concentrated product, which you dilute according to the amount you're working with. This makes it super economical, whether for waterless washes or as liquid wax.
Example of what a 500ml bottle of EchO2 can yield:
- 2 gallons of Waterless Wash (1:15)
- 3.25 gallons of Quick Detailer (1:25)
- 5.25 gallons of clay lubricant (1:40)
- 26 gallons of rinseless cleaner (1:200)
CARPRO EliXir
Of these three products, EliXir is considered the pure Quick Detailer, designed for that purpose. Although its creation was born from the experiments and mixtures we enthusiasts make.
The reality is that EliXir was born thanks to Echo. Because when Echo first came into use, many customers started mixing ECH2O , Reload , and HydrO2. This was because Echo doesn't leave a hydrophobic or protective layer on the surface, so many people mixed it primarily with Reload , as both are water-based. Later, they started adding a bit of Hydro, which meant that EliXir could be applied similarly to Hydro.
The final creation is a detailer that leaves a high-gloss paint finish, is very easy to use, and can be used on various exterior surfaces. Many also use it around the home to clean and protect patio furniture, sinks, bathroom showers, refrigerators, etc.
CARPRO Release
Release is CARPRO 's latest quick detailer. Designed to be applied after applying a ceramic coating (any brand). Its name , Release , reflects the purpose of using it before releasing the car to the customer. It helps in the first few hours or days, to protect the ceramic while it's curing. It's important to minimize the amount of water it gets on the surface.
Before Release , Reload was recommended to protect the ceramic before delivering the vehicle to the customer. But with the evolution of CARPRO ceramic coating technology, there was a need to create a product ideal for that purpose—to act as a sacrificial barrier to the environment during the days the coating was curing.
One thing that makes Release very different from Reload is carnauba wax. Release is the only CARPRO product that contains carnauba wax. This helps mitigate the effects of water, insects, and the environment during the first few days of the coating's curing process.
But that wax also gives Release a different look to the paint. It adds a little more depth, along with that softness we know and sometimes miss from wax on paint.
Summary:
Quick Detailers (liquid waxes) are versatile products for cleaning, polishing, and maintaining automotive paint. CARPRO offers three main varieties:
- ECH2O : Concentrated product designed primarily for low-water cleaning (Waterless Wash). Compatible with CQUARTZ and DQUARTZ ceramic coatings. It stands out for its cleaning power and cost-effectiveness when diluted for different uses.
- EliXir : This is the brand's purest Quick Detailer. It emerged when users mixed ECH2O with Reload and HydrO2. It provides shine and hydrophobic protection, making it versatile for both cars and household surfaces.
- Release : The latest in the line, specifically designed for application after a ceramic coating. Contains carnauba (unique to the CARPRO line) that acts as a protective barrier during the curing of the ceramic coating, also providing depth and smoothness to the paint.
