CARPRO Plastic, Engine, Rubber, Leather
CARPRO Perl: Plastic, Engine, Rubber and Leather is one of our favorite products because of its versatility. It can be used as a rubber shine, a protector for interior and exterior plastics, vinyl, and leather. Because it's concentrated, when diluted with water, you can control the shine it provides on the surface to which it's applied. When used as a rubber shine, Perl stays on the rubber and won't splash onto the paint.
Description :
CARPRO Perl is a water-based thinner that covers a wide range of vehicle care tasks. It can be used to restore the appearance of deteriorated plastic surfaces to new surfaces, keeping them in good condition with strong UV and hydrophobic protection. The sun can be damaging to flexible materials such as rubber, plastic, and leather. Over time, they fade, become brittle, and cracked. CARPRO Perl is a game-changer; it provides excellent protection and lasts up to three months on interior and engine surfaces. Durability on exterior surfaces varies depending on the type of plastic and its environmental exposure. It can protect the surface for up to three months outdoors, but if you constantly see rainy conditions, the dark appearance of the protection diminishes. For extremely long-lasting protection for exterior plastics, I recommend CARPRO DLUX .
Characteristics:
- UV protection.
- Versatility: can be applied to interiors, plastics and leather.
- Sold in a concentrated form, which offers tremendous value. Dilute with water according to instructions.
- You can control the appearance by diluting the product. (The more water you add, the less shine.)
- Water-based and solvent-free. It won't damage tires or dry out plastics. But once it dries, it provides a hydrophobic coating that prevents dirt and grime.
- Surfaces treated with Perl require less cleaning and will stay looking new longer.
Dilutions: (Note - You are welcome to adjust any of the dilutions to suit your needs and tastes. The more water you add, the less glossy the surface will be.)
Below are some suggestions. I recommend a pump dispenser for easier handling of Perl. To dilute, use the Dilute bottle:
- Exterior plastics: can be used neat or diluted 1:1 with water
- Engine: 1 part Perl / 1 to 3 parts water (1:3)
- Gums: Undiluted or 1:1 (I recommend 1:1)
- Interior Vinyl and Leather: 1 part Perl / 5 parts water (1:5) this mixture will give a factory look.
- Flushing: 1:4
It's very important to apply Perl to a completely clean tire or rim. I recommend using ReTyre or Multi X to clean the tire.
