CQUARTZ UK 3.0 Ceramic Coating
CQUARTZ UK is world-renowned as the toughest ceramic coating on the enthusiast market! Competing with many products that require certification, CQUARTZ UK has been embraced by fans around the world; however, CARPRO never waits for others to catch up, so they set out to improve CQUARTZ UK even further! The new and improved CQUARTZ UK 3.0 now features ease of use in all climates!
CQUARTZ UK 3.0 offers incredible resistance to chemicals, salt, and environmental damage, while also providing excellent UV protection. The high silica quartz content creates a hard, crystalline layer over painted or gelcoat surfaces. CQUARTZ UK 3.0 adds incredible levels of depth to the paint (a wet look appearance) along with incredible hydrophobicity, reduced paint scum, and robust durability measured in years!
Instructions for Applying Paint:
- Apply only in the shade and not on hot surfaces.
- The paint must be clean and decontaminated. For steps on how to apply the paint, you can visit our blog .
- Polish or correct paint. To remove defects, swirls, and oxidation.
- After polishing, use Eraser to clean the surface and ensure no polishing oils or lubricants remain. Even if you use Essence , I recommend using Eraser to ensure all polish or Essence Primer residue is removed.
- Wrap a suede towel (included) around the applicator (also included). You can also use a microfiber applicator.
- Shake CQUK 3.0 well and apply a few drops to the applicator. CQUK is designed to be applied and removed quickly. You can also wait one to two minutes before removing.
- Apply to a small section (12" x 12") using straight lines horizontally, vertically, or in both directions; the important thing is to cover the area. You can apply to a small area and remove the excess within 30 to 60 seconds. If you're working on a larger area, you can remove it immediately after applying.
- For a second coat, wait at least one hour after applying the first coat.
Recommendation:
- A second coat will further enhance the hardness and thickness of the CQUK, while also increasing the gloss and depth or darkening the paint.
- If you notice residue that wasn't removed, you'll need to remove it with polishing fluid. You can use polishing fluid with a microfiber pad. You want to remove the excess product; there's no need to reapply the product; it should be removed within the first two hours. I recommend CARPRO Reflect and Essence . The longer it takes to remove the residue, the more aggressive you need to be.
- Keep the surface dry for at least 24 hours after application
- Remove water from the surface during the first 24 hours after application
- Avoid washing with any soap for the first 7 days
- Reload can be applied two hours (or more) after applying CQuartz UK.
